SAFER THAN OTHER BLANKETS, WOOL BLANKETS ARE FIRE RESISTANT-Wool makes for very poor fuel for a fire. It has a natural resistance to fire, which is one reason why hikers and outdoor adventures prefer wool blankets. If wool does catch alight for some reason, it will smoulder and burn out without the flames spreading.
